My struggle to get a Higher Education

As an Indian and especially an Indian from the South of India,it is very tough to convince our parents to send me abroad to get a Higher Education. All my parents and rest of many like parents want is to get a job where they pay you lacs of rupees and they want to flaunt the story of their rich working son to every tom, dick and harry they come across.

It very unlikely that they consider the interests of their sons and daughters and send them accordingly aligning to their interests.Basically the freedom to choose our path in life is very restricted here in India.Every parent wants their child to become a doctor or Engineer for that these parents think these are the only careers their children can shine.

This attitude of Indian Parents should change. When parents give kids freedom to choose their careers with zeal and enthusiasm, their sons and daughters will become leaders in their respective fields.

Also as people we are vulnerable to doing mistakes in my life.Never underestimate your children once thy commit such mistakes.A child who committed a mistake does not mean that they are not capable doing something great. They just need a one more chance to prove themselves.

As of now I am got admission to Masters in System on Chip in Lund University,Sweden.I hope Sweden does not disappoint me in the way of teaching.I hope i will also get a Education loan to fund my studies.Actually i fought and am fighting a lot to convince my parents to go to Sweden for my Higher Education.

I will give lot of updates on my journey as well as Life in Sweden in future.

Ignorance of some people

Back in 2013,I was in most turbulent times of my life.Ii was so because my mom was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer.By the tenacity of my mother and some great doctors she sprang back to her normal life.

No need to mention,me my father, sister were in a state of grief also. But in the process I met a lovely young married lady who happened to meet me.She felt bad when i told about my mother.

Then i was surprised by the questions she asked me...."Pavan,Why don't you marry soon?" She didn't bring my marriage in my previous conversations with her.

I know you must have already understood what she meant. She wants my mother to see my marriage....but she wants me marry soon in a rush because my mother's condition was abnormal.

Some of the people i have met have preconceived notions about cancer that it equals death.I hope god must change their attitude.

Thanks to innovation in medical care, surgeries,Bio chemistry....we are slowly capturing cancer.

Again Cancer is not death.Proper screening and awareness can save your love ones.....Be courageous.

My heartly congratulations to this American Organisation,I have learned a lot about this disease.

Working for continuous 24 hours...I was shocked

Three days back i was on my routine way back home in the busiest areas of Hyderabad. It happened that my petrol came to reserve so i had to stop by  a petrol bunk nearby.

So i have this habit of wishing everyone i meet with a smile and was having a casual short talk with the guy who was filling my bike with fuel. His eyes were very red and so i asked him his working hours…he told that he had to work continuous 24 hours and then he had to take off for the next 24 hours……..for a moment,I was in a sense of bewilderment  and was appalled by the condition of him.He was slim, deprived of sleep, eyes sunk inside his sockets.
This weird working hours made no sense to me.Medically, nobody should work more than a optimum number of hours , for that you need a good sleep for our brain and body to function properly.

This shows that how people in low paying jobs are exploited in our country.I was ashamed that this was and is  happening. There is  a dire requirement to redefine the dignity of labor.

“All men and women are created equal.”
The above collection of words should prove right for the world to be prosperous. We the people should redefine it.
